Brennan McCormick

Registered Counsellor (HPCSA)

B Psych (Hons) Reg No. PRC 0047104

Hello, I'm Brennan.

I offer a supportive space to help clients find greater clarity and confidence in moving forward. My approach is grounded and collaborative. Some sessions may involve exploring patterns, relationships, or past experiences, while others may focus more on what feels most immediate or overwhelming. There is no single “right way” to engage in counselling. What matters most is creating space for reflection and movement toward a way of living that feels more authentic and connected.

Based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town (Wynberg), I offer both online and in-person counselling, depending on individual circumstances and preferences.

I often work with young adults navigating transitions, anxiety, relationship difficulties and the pressure of trying to find a place in the world. I also have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent clients, with a focus on understanding individual experiences and finding ways to make life feel more aligned, sustainable and meaningful.

Above all, I aim to create a space that feels steady, respectful, and real, where you can think, feel and begin making sense of things in your own way.

Services

Counselling and therapeutic support

Individual Counselling

Personalised Therapeutic Support

I offer individual counselling for adolescents and adults seeking support, greater clarity and a space to explore emotional, relational and life challenges. Sessions may focus on anxiety, life transitions, identity, relationship difficulties, neurodiversity, autism, stress, low mood, or making sense of experiences that feel confusing or difficult to navigate alone.

Walk in the Wild

Couples Counselling

Strengthening Relationships

I offer couples counselling with a focus on communication, emotional understanding, and exploring patterns of rupture and repair within relationships. Sessions provide a space to slow things down, reflect on recurring dynamics and help partners better understand both themselves and one another within the relationship.

Parenting Support

Guidance for Caregivers and Parents

Supporting a young person often also involves supporting the people around them. I offer caregiver and parenting support to help parents and caregivers better understand emotional and behavioural difficulties, strengthen communication and connection and navigate some of the challenges that can arise when supporting adolescents and young adults. This may form part of broader counselling work where a young person is already attending sessions.
